The state-funded Greek TV channel ERT3 will rerun period drama "Sophia" this autumn.

Its viewers saw "Sophia" for the first time in 2017. And from the very first episode audience got involved in the story of love and power.

Sophia Palaiologina, the last Byzantium princess, became a wife of Ivan III, the grand Prince of Moscow, and grandmother of Ivan the Terrible, the first Tsar of all Russia. She loved her husband deeply, was a loyal wife to him and bore him 9 children. Having overcome court intrigues, betrayals and false accusations, she became the first influential woman in Russian history.
