From 15 to 17 July 2025, the Second Television Festival of SCO countries took place in Xi’an, China, bringing together delegates from 19 nations — media companies, broadcasters, and government representatives. Russia TV and Radio was represented at the festival by its distribution branch, Sovtelexport.

The festival’s theme was “Uniting Civilisations: Audiovisual Cooperation for a Shared Future”.

As part of the business program, Sovtelexport gave a presentation of Russia TV and Radio’s extensive catalog, featuring historical and classic series, documentaries, dramas, restored Soviet animation, and content on current events. The company's stand showcased printed and video promotional materials for flagship projects such as the "Ekaterina" historical saga, "The Princess of Mercy " TV series, the "Russia. Kremlin. Putin. 25 Years" documentary, and masterpieces of Soviet animation. TV series "Ekaterina", already popular in China, and the animation line-up attracted particular interest. During the event, Sovtelexport held over 30 meetings with representatives of leading digital platforms and broadcasters from China, India, Turkey, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and others.

Participation in the festival marked a significant step in advancing media cooperation across the Asian region and reaffirmed the strong international demand for Russian content.
