RUSSIA TELEVISION AND RADIO’S PROGRAMS TO AIR IN CZECH REPUBLIC AND SLOVAKIA
FTV Prima, one of the largest broadcasters in Czech Republic and Slovakia, has licensed broadcasting and digital rights to a number of TV programs including "Firing Range".

THE MAZE SERIES GOES TO MENA
Sovtelexport has inked a deal with the major distribution company ABC Marketing and Distribution FZ-LLC – currently the best content provider in the region. As per the agreement, viewers of 23 countries from Afghanistan to Morocco will see a modern drama "The Maze" for the first time.

JAPANESE VIEWERS TO SEE EKATERINA: PRETENDERS
At the first Russian virtual content market, Key Buyers Event: Digital Edition, held from 8 to 15 June, Sovtelexport finalized a new deal on licensing "Ekaterina: Pretenders", a fresh season of the grand period drama. The rights were acquired by a Japanese channel TV Channel Ginga.

The drama became highly successful in Russia but it provoked intense emotional debates and controversial responses among viewers. Khamatova shared her own thoughts on this situation.

RUSSIA’S CHULPAN KHAMATOVA ON STALINIST BACKLASH OVER "ZULEIKHA"
Russian actor Chulpan Khamatova is known internationally for her key roles in “Good Bye, Lenin!,” Aleksei Alekseivich German’s drama “Under Electric Clouds” and Ralph Fiennes-directed biopic “The White Crow.” Last month, as Russia was deep in lockdown, Khamatova found herself embroiled in controversy sparked by TV series "Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes" in which she plays a young woman deported to Siberia during the Stalin-era purges.
