SOUTH KOREAN TV MARKET MEETS RUSSIAN CLASSICS

Sovtelexport has finalized the deal on licensing the TV series "Anna Karenina" and "Dostoevsky" for the territory of South Korea. The shows will be aired on the Welike channel.
Prior to this deal, channels of South Korea broadcasted features "The Island" by Pavel Lungin, "The Soul of a Spy" by Vladimir Bortko, "The Iron Ivan" by Gleb Orlov, and the TV series "Demon of the Revolution" by Vladimir Hotienko.
Sangsaeng Broadcasting Corp TV company reran two seasons of the grand period drama "Ekaterina" as well as showed the new season of the show, "Ekaterina: Pretenders", on its flagship channel STB.

Sovtelexport signed a sales agreement for broadcasting and digital rights for the feature film "The Island" with two TV-companies: RTVS, the Slovakia’s largest nationwide public broadcasting network, and CPBC, the Catholic radio and television network in South Korea.
