ADAPTATIONS OF RUSSIAN CLASSICS KEEP CONQUERING VIEWERS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Sovtelexport, the GLOBAL distributor of Russia Television and Radio content, has signed two agreements with the major public TV companies MTVA (Hungary) and TVP (Poland) at the beginning of 2019

Both companies have licensed the broadcasting rights FOR the TV version of "Anna Karenina", the world-renowned novel of Leo Tolstoy. Apart from “Anna Karenina MTVA has acquired rights for flagship dramas "And quiet flows the Don" and "Sophia" for Hungary. The deal has marked a start for further partnership with this key player at the European TV market.

The public television of Poland will air "Anna Karenina" series and the feature film "Ivan son of Amir". Earlier TVP channels broadcasted TV series "Idiot""Peter the Great: Testament", feature films "Kandahar", “Day D" and a number of documentaries from Russia Television and Radio’s catalogue.
