On November 30, 1943 the Big Three - Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill met in Teheran in honor of Churchills birthday. Unbeknownst to them, German Abwehr agents were poised to assassinate the three leaders but the mission was thwarted by Russian spy Gevork Vartanyian and his family, longtime USSR residents in the Middle East.
