"The Fisherman and the Golden Fish" is one of the most famous works by the great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin.
The story is about a poor fisherman who once caught a golden fish. The fish promised to grant any wish if he let her go. The fisherman was kind and released the fish without asking for anything. But his greedy wife, after hearing about it, sent him back to demand more and moreuntil she even wished to become the ruler of the sea. However, her endless greed was eventually punished.
