RUSSIA TELEVISION AND RADIO SIGNS INTERNATIONAL DEALS AT MIPTV 2019

Sovtelexport has closed a number of deals inked at the Cannes TV market in April.

A series of documentary films "Russia. Genius loci" has been sold to Germany and Poland. 12 episodes of the educational travel documentary will be aired on the major popular science channels - National Geographic, Planet and Xplore. It will take audiences on the impressive journey through the most beautiful and historic sites of Russia. TV viewers in Germany and Poland will look at the unique nature of Altai and Caucasus, see masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture in the Golden Ring towns and get familiar with art and lifestyle of Northern peoples.

UAP VIDEO GMBH has acquired DVD rights on "T-34", "The Hermitage", "The delusion of tolerance" and "Rivers: The apocalyptic project of the USSR" documentaries. The films will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in Germany. Earlier UAP, the long-term partner of Sovtelexport, released on DVD more than 20 documentary programs of various genres: history, culture, war, travel, current affairs.

Public television company RTRS (Radio Television of Republika Srpska) has acquired broadcasting rights on the crime series "The secrets of lady Kirsanova" and melodrama "Give me back my love", both to be aired in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A major Russian action thriller "Law of the lawless", extremely popular both in Russia and abroad, goes to Macedonia. The rights were acquired by the private broadcaster Alfa TV.

The Bulgarian cable channel Detelina TV has licensed a number of titles, including popular feature films "Kandahar", "Back in time", drama series and historical documentaries. The latest agreement with the company was signed in July 2018 when Detelina TV acquired 100 hours of Russia Television and Radio’s content of different genres for Bulgaria.
