Public Colombian TV channel Señal Colombia acquired rights for “Ekaterina”: the period drama dedicated to the personal life of Catherine the Great and her ascent to the Russian throne.

In 2017, the channel broadcasted the first season of the series that became a huge success.

At the beginning of 2019, Sovtelexport, the global distributor of Russia Television and Radio content, signed a licensing agreement with Señal Colombia for the first season rerun and for "Ekaterina. Season 2".

The agreement joins a long list of international deals for the project, which enjoys unprecedented success at the global market.
