RUSSIAN COSTUME DRAMAS TO AIR IN POST-SOVIET STATES

Sovtelexport has finalized the licensing deals for the TV series from Russia Television and Radio for broadcasting in Estonia and Armenia
State radio and television company Public Television of Armenia has acquired broadcasting rights on the series “Anna Karenina”. The screen adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s novel by Karen Shakhnazarov will air on the Channel One of Armenia.
The period drama “Institute for Noble Maidens” set in XIX century Russian Empire is sold to Estonia. The 260 episodes dedicated to the dramatic love story of an emotional young student of the Institute for Noble Maidens and a married count will be broadcast on the Tallina Television SA channel.
