Ksenia, an architecture student, rejects her admirer Mark to fall for Boris, a wealthy financier. Their dynamic romance leads to a hasty marriage and soon she moves to Boris's luxurious house. However, the fairy tale quickly breaks down as the young woman discovers Boris's dark, tyrannical side.

Trapped in this horrible marriage, Ksenia starts to fight for liberation with the help of her friend Tatiana, Mark, and Boris's police friend Mikhail.
