In 1945, at the Potsdam Conference, U.S. President Truman made allusions about the coming of a mega bomb. Pretending not to understand, Stalin knew full about the impending nuclear weapon. He also knew the USSR needed a bomb of their own as well as a strategic bomber big enough to carry it. This would mark the beginning of a revolution in aircraft construction.
