The 35th Banff World Media Festival, the world-famous Canadian festival of film and TV content, will be held from 8 to 11 June. "Technological Advances in Sport", a documentary produced by Russia Television and Radio, has been nominated in the Science and Technology category of the festival’s Rockie Awards.

Each year, nominees for the Rockie Awards are selected by over 250 independent experts from the international film and television industry. Among the entrants in the competition programme for 2014 is the Russian-produced documentary "Technological Advances in Sport", covering outstanding advances in sports and the physiology behind athletic victories.
The winners of the Rockie Awards in each category will be announced on 11 June at the closing ceremony of the festival, which will take place at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
