JAPAN IS WATCHING RUSSIAN SERIES

Sovtelexport, the official distributor of Russia Television and Radio’s content worldwide, has signed a licensing agreement with the “Oregon Beets” for Japan
“Anna Karenina”, the screen adaptation of the world-known novel by Leo Tolstoy (directed by Karen Shakhnazarov) starring the brilliant duo of Elizaveta Boyarskaya and Maxim Matveev will continue to introduce top Russian TV projects to Japanese viewers. Earlier two seasons of the period drama “Ekaterina” were broadcast in Japan on the Ginga channel, while Wowow channel aired the action film“Two legends”. Digital rights on “Ekaterina” were also acquired by the top online platform HULU Japan.
