"Life and Fate" at the 2014 Golden Eagle Awards

Russia TV and Radio production "Life and Fate" has won awards in three categories at the annual national Golden Eagle Awards.

The Golden Eagle award ceremony is a prestigious national event for the Russian film industry. The Golden Eagle statuette is given in recognition of outstanding achievements in professional filmmaking and exceptional contributions to Russian and international film.

The 12th annual award ceremony took place on 29 January 2014. The ambitious screen adaptation of Vasily Grossman’s novel "Life and Fate" won awards in three categories:

Best television series – director Sergey Ursuliak;

Best leading actor in a TV series – People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Makovetskiy;

Best leading actress in a TV series – winner of the State Prize of Russia Polina Agureeva.
