HISTORICAL SAGA GODUNOV SOLD TO MEXICO

Resulting from negotiations conducted at MIP Cancun, the Latin American market of audio-visual content, Mexico’s major public TV company — Televisión Metropolitana, S.A. de C.V. — has acquired broadcasting rights for the massive historical project Godunov.

"Godunov" had been produced by Moskino film company on request of Russia Television and Radio. Brilliant performance of the famous Russian actors, gorgeous costumes and decorations, gripping plot led to a successful release of the series on the Russia 1 channel and international sales to Bulgaria, Greece, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. In Mexico, the saga about the ascension on a throne, the rule and the fate of the most controversial Russian tsar will be aired on the largest culture TV channel of the country — Canal 22.

The new deal has continued the cooperation with the old partner. Previously, the channel had broadcasted dramatic series "Anna Karenina', "Demons", "Life and Fate", "Ekaterina", "Fyodor Dostoevsky", "Einstein: the Theory of Love".
