The "White Guard" Wins 2012 Golden Eagle Award

On 25 January, Moscow hosted the 11th annual Golden Eagle Awards, an event organized by the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia to recognize achievements in the domestic cinema industry. Films produced by Russia TV and Radio were nominated in 11 categories.

Sergey Snezhkin’s classical drama "The White Guard", which premiered last March on TV Channel Russia, won the Best Miniseries Award.
The Golden Eagle for Best Supporting Actress went to Viktoria Tolstoganova for her performance in "The Spy, directed by Alexey Andrianov.
Nikolai Dostal’s historical series "The Schism" was nominated in the Best Television Series category.
"I would like to thank all the great artists who have joined us on this difficult journey", said General Director of TV Channel Russia Anton Zlatopolsky. "For almost ten years now, we’ve been producing screen versions of literary classics. To us, this award is a wonderful recognition of our achievements."
