The representative of the Hollywood award Golden Globes, Sergei Rakhlin, visited the RUSSIA TELEVISION AND RADIO stand at MIPCOM 2014, a leading event for the audiovisual content sector held in Cannes.

In Cannes, the Hollywood-based film critic heard about some of the programs recently produced by "Russia Television and Radio". He singled out "Kandahar", "The Spy" and "The Iron Ivan" as having strong potential, and also praised documentary films currently being produced in Russia.
The Golden Globes are one of the most important American TV and film awards ceremonies in the world. The winners are chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The Golden Globes ceremony has been held since 1944. The winners are determined based on a vote by 90 international journalists from 50 countries. They are the second most prestigious awards, behind the Oscars. Sergei Rakhlin is an internationally acclaimed film critic and the Chairman of the HFPA’s Foreign Language Film Committee. According to Rakhlin, the Russian film industry is increasingly attracting the attention of the Golden Globes.
