In 1941 in occupied territories of the Soviet Union, churches formerly closed by the authorities were reopened by the Germans. Priests praised Hitler while Bishops of the Orthodox Churches expressed sympathy towards Nazism. What the Germans didnt know was that it was all a ruse.
